PARENTS

 

There are many opportunities for parents of current, past, and future NB United players to get involved with our team.  

 

Every current parent is a member of the Booster Club.  There is a mandatory $100 Booster Club fee + a custom jersey fee per player.  The Booster Club fee which covers those expenses incurred by the Club throughout the season.  

 

Below is a list of the different Booster Club committees.  If interested in joining a committee, please contact Booster Club President Mike Cannon.

 

BOOSTER CLUB VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES


Concessions

Coordinator and/or assistant do not need to work the shift. Their duties include: arrive by 4:30 to open the stand, make sure money and cash box are there, answer questions from parents staffing and count money at the end of the night. They also will set up Sign Up Genius and monitor that all slots are filled by volunteers.


End of Season Banquet

Collaborate with Coach Maske to organize, plan, and run banquet to celebrate our season.  Specific duties would include planning meal, decorations, and assisting coaching staff with other needs as the date approaches.

 

Tournament Food: 

Create and Manage a Sign Up Genius for Tournament Food.  Make sure families sign up and donate food/drinks to be brought to tournaments. This gives the team healthier food options, other than the concession stand during long tournaments.

 

Team Dinners:

Create and Manage a Sign Up Genius for your team’s dinners. Dinners are usually planned the night before a regular season game.  It is customary for most parents to host 1 evening.


Dinner for Away Games:   

Organize meals for players to take on the bus for regular away games. This is OPTIONAL and an additional cost applies if you are interested in ordering. We previously ordered sub, chips, cookie, and pickle from Jason’s Deli; they are closed now.


Spirit Wear: 

Plan Spirit wear offerings, ordering and distribution.


Special Shirts Coordinator:  

Varsity Parent preferred.  Create, get and place orders, and help distribute Fan Shirts, Special Varsity Jersey, Conf. Champs/State t-shirts.  


Senior Night:  

Senior Night will be held during one of the last home matches of the season.  Work to make the seniors last home match a memorable one.


Team Photographer:  

One for each team to focus on action shots at games


United Tournament:  

NEED EVERYONE!!! – Please mark your calendars. This is an all-day event. JV1 Players will be playing in the tournament and JV2 and Varsity will be working it. Additionally ALL Parents are needed to work a minimum of 1 shift in Concessions, tickets, etc.
